Advising Philosophy

My advising philosophy is centered on the individual student as a person, taking a holistic approach to their academic journey. As a first-generation college student myself, I bring a deeply personal understanding to my role as an academic advisor. I recognize the importance of providing individualized support that considers the unique experiences and needs of each student. By taking a holistic approach, I seek to address not only academic needs but also support students in connecting with campus and community resources to promote their personal, social, and emotional well-being. My approach as an academic advisor is collaborative and rooted in empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to see each student thrive. I see myself as a partner, working alongside students to explore their interests, set goals, and develop strategies for success. My goal as an academic advisor is to foster a supportive and inclusive space where students feel heard, valued, and capable of achieving their goals.
