Advising Philosophy

My advising philosophy is heavily based on growth and collaboration. As a student myself, I have experienced many times when I have felt lost and confused navigating my educational, career and personal pathways. Being provided the opportunity to have a one-on-one conversation with someone that can help navigate the plethora of resources at the biggest UC is extremely helpful. With that being said, to me, advising is dependent on the humanization of both peer and advisor, working together to foster a supportive and inclusive space and ensuing students have the opportunities to make and reach their goals.
