Prestigious Scholarships
- McCall-MacBain Scholars: Full-funding for a graduate degree at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Foundation Deadline: Wednesday, September 23, 2026, 1pm PST
- Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship: Program for that provides up to $5,000 for U.S. citizens who are federal Pell grant recipients to participate in study or internship abroad programs. Foundation Deadline: Thursday, October 1, 2026, 11:59pm PST
- Knight-Hennessy Scholars: Full-funding to pursue any graduate or professional program – including joint programs – at Stanford University for citizens of any nation. Foundation Deadline: Tuesday, October 6, 2026, 1pm PST
- Fulbright U.S. Student Program: Funding for U.S. citizens to pursue 1-postgraduate year abroad to either teach English, conduct independent research, or study for a Master’s degree. Candidates should list UC Davis as their institution on their applications (do not select “at large”). Foundation Deadline: Tuesday, October 6, 2026, 2pm PST
- Gates Cambridge Scholarship: Full-funding to pursue Master’s and PhD programs at the University of Cambridge in England. Foundation Deadline: Wednesday, October 14, 2026, 3:59pm PST (U.S. citizens) and Tuesday, December 8, 3:59pm PST (International citizens)
- Churchill Scholarship: Churchill fully-funds 1-year of Master’s STEM research at University of Cambridge. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and should have GPA’s of 3.9+, an extensive research history, along with significant research outputs. Campus Deadline: Wednesday, October 14, 2026
- Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships: Up to $90,000 for graduate and professional programs is available for “New Americans” (immigrants, child of immigrants, asylee, or refugee) who is 30 years old or younger. Foundation Deadline: Thursday, October 29, 2026, 11am PST
- Capital Fellowship: Paid full-time policy employment at the California Capital along with paid university enrollment for 6-graduate credits leading to a Graduate Certificate in Applied Policy and Government. Applicants must be 20 years old or above and legally eligible to work in the United States. Foundation Deadline: Tuesday, November 10, 2026
- Lafayette Fellowship: Full-funding for a 1-year Master’s program at one of 21 participating universities in France. Candidates must be 26 or younger (as of 7/1/27) with GPA’s of 3.7 or greater and can be of any citizenship status. Foundation Deadline: Tuesday, December 1, 2026, 9pm PST

Competitions, Challenges, and Funding
- Fulbright-Nehru Student Research Fellowships: These nine-month fellowships offer research opportunities in India for recent graduates (minimum bachelor’s degree required) and graduate students pursuing master’s or Ph.D. degrees. Campus deadline: September 2026.

The Davis Global Learning Hub, in partnership with the UC Education Abroad Program (UCEAP), helps students earn UC credit while studying around the world.
